Chapter 90: Call her Aunt

It took a long time for Imperial Concubine Yun to accept this fact. After all, Si Si also came from a thousand years later, and his parents just came here in a slightly different way from her.

After thinking it through, Imperial Concubine Yun immediately put on a smile. She sincerely said to Si Chaoqun and his wife, “Si Si is a very kind girl. You and your wife must be people of good character if you raise a daughter like her.”

As she spoke, she looked out the window and said, “Now that it has rained for several days in a row, the drought that has lasted for more than two years is finally coming to an end. In the future, you and your wife can help Mohan manage Qiushui City in your spare time.”

Although Imperial Concubine Yun’s words came from the heart, Si Chaoqun and Luo Xuehua didn’t take them too seriously, thinking that the other party was just being polite to them.

After a few brief greetings, Imperial Concubine Yun signaled everyone to start eating.

The two children saw that the conversation of their elders had finally ended, so they moved their chairs to Si Si’s left and right.

“Qing’er wants to sit with her sister.”

“Mujin also wants to.”

Si Si touched their heads lovingly.

It was great to meet them again…

Except for Si Si and the two little ones, everyone else was eating, but they all had their own thoughts.

Imperial Concubine Yun kept picking up food for Si Si, hoping that she could be as good to her as her biological parents.

Qi Mohan was worried that he had neglected Si Chaoqun and Luo Xuehua, so he would occasionally find opportunities to chat with them.

As for Si Chaoqun and his wife, they wanted to finish their meal quickly and go back home with their precious daughter, who had been recovered. The original owner’s son Si Yu was still at home.

Although Si Yu’s feelings towards Si Si would be different, Si Yu was related to these two bodies by blood after all.

This kind of bond from a blood relationship will not produce rejection, even if you don’t actively think about it.

What’s more, Si Yu has just turned ten years old. What does a ten-year-old child know?

Although he was not well-educated by the original owner and his wife, that was just a problem with his living habits. It did not mean that there was anything wrong with the child. After all, everyone has their strengths and weaknesses!

Besides, who didn’t have some minor problems when they were a kid? They just need to guide and educate him patiently, and believe that Si Yu will slowly get rid of those bad habits and become an excellent child!

Before meeting Si Si, Si Chaoqun and his wife had decided that as long as they lived in Daqi Kingdom, they would treat Si Yu like their own child and raise him well.

Si Si didn’t know about Si Yu yet. Seeing that her parents were absent-minded after dinner, she thought they were not used to staying here, so she took the initiative to tell Qi Mohan and Imperial Concubine Yun that they would leave.

As soon as she finished speaking, before Imperial Concubine Yun and Qi Mohan could respond, the two little ones hugged her from the left and right.

Xiao Qing’s eyes were filled with tears: “Sister, Qing’er doesn’t want you to leave.”

Xiao Mujin also blinked her big eyes to persuade her to stay: “Sister, can you stay here with Mujin and Qing’er? We don’t want to be separated from you.”

The two children’s words to keep Si Si can be said to have won Qi Mohan’s heart. He was the one who was most reluctant to let Si Si leave Prince Rong Mansion, but after all, her parents were there, and he couldn’t force her to stay because of his selfish desires.

However, the more he heard the two kids address Si Si, the more awkward he felt.

In the past, it would have been fine if Si Si had not traveled here. Although he had a good impression of the latter, they were people from two different worlds after all, and there was no possibility of them being together, so this title didn’t matter.

Ever since he rescued Si Si from the pond, the two of them had had physical contact more than once. As a man of integrity, he had to be responsible for Si Si.

There was no doubt that Si Si will be the madam of the Rong Palace in the future, and that means she will be Qi Mohan’s princess. The two little ones still call her sister. Isn’t there a generation difference between them?

Thinking of this, Qi Mohan immediately corrected her, “From now on, you should change the way you address Miss Si Si to call her aunt!”

Si Si and the two children were somewhat puzzled by Qi Mohan’s words.

“Uncle, my sister is very young, Qing’er likes to call her that.”

Si Si also agreed with Xiao Qing’er’s words. In modern times, children would call her sister when they saw her, and no one would call her aunt, which meant that she was still very young. She didn’t know what Qi Mohan was thinking that he would let the two kids change their way of addressing her.

Si Si and the two kids didn’t understand Qi Mohan’s tricks, but they couldn’t hide it from Si Chaoqun, who had a lot of experience in the business world.

It seems that his guess just now has been confirmed. Prince Rong wanted to marry his precious daughter. He feels that his nephew and niece calling Si Si ‘sister’ was too low in generation.

Si Chaoqun was just about to say that his daughter was not very old, and it was fine for the two children to call her sister, but before he could start, he was stopped by Imperial Concubine Yun’s words.

“I think what Mohan said makes sense. If Si Si were in Daqi Country at her age, she would have been married and had several children. It’s appropriate for Qing’er and Mujin to call her aunt.”

Imperial Concubine Yun was also speaking up for her son because she knew Qi Mohan’s intention of asking the two children to change their ways.

If she were Si Si’s age, she would like children to call her sister, which would make her look younger. But there was nothing she could do. Her silly son finally fell in love with a girl, and she was very fond of this girl, so she had to help him.

Si Chaoqun was helpless. He was not as quick-tongued as the other person. Auntie was auntie, and it was just a title. Anyway, he thought his daughter’s marriage was up to him and his wife. Knowing Qi Mohan’s reputation, he knew he would never do anything like robbing a woman.

Finally, at the request of their uncle and grandmother, the two kids officially changed their names to “Auntie”.

When the reform came to an end, Si Chaoqun couldn’t wait to stand up and say goodbye to Qi Mohan and Imperial Concubine Yun.

They won’t stay any longer. If the other party brings up something else, it will be hard to deal with…

Si Si came here originally wearing jeans and a T-shirt. When she arrived at the two small rooms, Imperial Concubine Yun and her maid helped her change into them. Now she was wearing a set of ancient costumes that didn’t fit her well.

This kind of dressing was no different from that of ancient people, and it was not inconvenient to open the door. As for other items, Si Si did not carry any of them, so there was no trouble at all to pack up and leave.

Seeing Si Si and Si Chaoqun and his wife had already walked to the door, Qi Mohan hurriedly chased after them: “Miss Si Si has a leg injury, and it is inconvenient for her to walk. I will personally take you back.”

Si Chaoqun quickly refused: “Thank you for your kindness, Your Highness. I can carry Si Si on my back.”

It was raining heavily outside, and Qi Mohan couldn’t let Si Chaoqun carry Si Si back like this. Even if she didn’t walk by herself, she would get wet.
