Chapter 118: Jiang Zhengning (Part 3)

She then sent a WeChat message to her father: “Dad, do you know grandfather’s life experience? Are his biological parents someone else? ”

Just after the news was sent, Chen Jia’s father, Chen Weishan, immediately called and asked: “Who did you hear that?”

Chen Jia glanced at Jiang Zhengning and said: “It’s a family surnamed Jiang, who came back from abroad. They said that when they went abroad, his younger brother was brought back to the countryside by a nanny, they couldn’t leave together, and then lost contact after that.”

Chen Weishan said immediately: “Give your mobile phone to the family, and I want to talk with them in person.”

Chen Jia handed her mobile phone to Jiang Zhengning. Jiang Zhengning’s fingers were shaking with excitement. He didn’t even say hello, he introduced himself immediately: “My name is Jiang Zhengning, my eldest brother’s name is Jiang Zhengyuan, my elder sister’s name is Jiang Zhengjing, and my lost brother’s name is Jiang Zhengcheng.”

Chen Jia was silent for a moment when she heard the name. His grandfather’s name was Chen Zhengcheng, which was only one surname different from Jiang Zhengcheng. It was estimated that this family was his grandfather’s lost family.

Chen Weishan’s voice on the other side of the phone was trembling a bit, and it took him a long time to speak: “Uncle, my grandmother, and my father have been waiting for you.”

Jiang Zhengning’s parents were in their 90s, and they hadn’t recovered even after returning from abroad. Chen Weishan decided to accompany his father and grandmother to the capital to meet the Jiang family.

It took more than seven hours to take the high-speed train from Mocheng to the Capital. Chen Weishan bought a ticket for the latest train. The Chen family arrived that night, and the Jiang family drove them to pick them up. When the car turned into an alley that looked very old, Old Grandmother Chen’s eyes were wet, and she reached out to hold Chen Zhengcheng’s hand: “It’s here, do you remember? Your family lives in the No. 1 courtyard of the hutong .”

The No. 1 courtyard was where the Jiang family originally lived. After the Jiang family went abroad, the yard was confiscated. Later, it was changed to a large courtyard, and was ruined and became messy.

Jiang Zhengyuan bought this yard when he first came back in the 1990s and arranged for someone to tear down all the broken sheds and partitions built inside. He saved the old part of the house and rebuilt it in the same way as it used to be. As for the decoration, he looked everywhere to find the same color as the floor before, and the furniture was all made by craftsmen. Fortunately, the Jiang family was rich back then and saved a lot of photos, so the houses were restored bit by bit.

Chen Zhengcheng was only three years old when he left with his nanny, Aunt Chen. But Grandma Chen burst into tears as soon as she entered the yard. She let go of her son’s hand and ran directly to Old Grandmother Jiang who was standing under the porch. She called out in a choked voice: “Madam, you’re finally back, I brought Cheng’er back with me. He is well-behaved in my house. He didn’t make trouble at all, so don’t worry about it.”

When Old Grandmother Jiang looked at her younger son, she couldn’t help but cry. When her son left home, he was a naughty boy who occasionally wets the bed. When they meet again, his temples will turn white.

Chen Zhengcheng looked at the two old people in front of him, took out a family portrait that had been treasured for decades from his pocket, walked over, and called Dad and Mom. Mrs. Jiang immediately hugged him and burst into tears.

Seeing this scene, Old Grandmother Chen wiped her tears with her handkerchief, and said with tears, “I brought Xiao Cheng back from the countryside, and as soon as I entered the city, I was stopped by Mr. Si, your subordinate. He said something bad happened, and you took the children abroad to avoid the limelight, then told me to take care of Xiao Cheng first.”

  1. Honestly that nanny is a saint…I’m sure it wasn’t an easy life during those times and she raised another family’s son for them without expecting anything in return.
