Chapter 84: Shang Yi (Part 6)

Since the little master said it was fine, Shang Jinghua ate the meal with peace of mind, but he also planned to dismiss the nannies after the meal was over. As for the chef, he had to let the little master decide.

Most of the meals in winter were mainly for warming and nourishing. The taste of the meal in the capital was not much different from Qi City. Lin Qingyin ate very smoothly. After finishing the meal, Shang Jinghua called over the two nannies and asked directly in front of Lin Qingyin and others: “How much did you charge Shang Jingtian and Shang Jingzhong?”

The expressions of the two nannies suddenly changed. They hesitated but then refused to admit it. Even though Shang Jinghua had a good temper, he was a little annoyed. Looking at the two nannies who were not a few years older than him, he sneered, “I’ve been busy these days, but that doesn’t mean I can let you guys fool me. What’s under the chair? What’s under the old man’s bed, don’t you think you need to explain it to me?”

Looking at the embarrassed expressions of the two nannies, Shang Jinghua sneered: “Well, actually, you don’t need to explain, and you don’t need to say that you didn’t mean it. I, Shang Jinghua, am not a fool to let people fool me.” He pointed out: “Your salary for this month has been given to you in advance because of the New Year, so now, go back and pack your belongings and leave. If I find out that you leave any unclean things again, I will call the police directly.”

The two nannies were persuaded because of greed. Each of them was given 5,000 yuan just to pretend that they didn’t see those weird things when cleaning. They thought it wasn’t a big deal. Because no one would squat down to see what was under the chair and under the bed. But who would expect that it will be discovered so quickly? They lost a high-paying job.

No matter how upset or regretful the two of them were, it was useless. They packed up their things and walked away while complaining to each other. It was easy to find a job in the capital, but it was difficult to find a job with good food, good housing, and a good salary, but have very little workload.

After the two nannies left, the chef, Old Li, came out after cleaning the chopping board and said directly: “I can guess that they left because of something, they must have been bribed by them. Actually, Jingzhong and Jingtian also talk to me privately, but I am a cook. I don’t want to get involved in anything other than cooking.”

Shang Jinghua smiled helplessly: “Actually, I can understand. After all, I haven’t been back for a long time, but my two younger brothers lived at home for many years. It’s understandable that you have a deep relationship with them.”

“You don’t need to test me, I’m different from them.” Old Li said: “I’ve been with the old man for so many years, and I don’t recognize anyone but the old man. Although I am just a chef, the old man likes to have a couple of drinks and talk to me when he is depressed. It has always been like that for so many years. In this family, no one knows the old man better than me. From the beginning to the end, he has only you as the heir. I have been his cook for so many years and I only listen to him. If you want me to stay, I will follow you, but if you are worried, I will pack up and go.”

Shang Jinghua glanced at Lin Qingyin hesitantly, Lin Qingyin smiled and said generously, “This person cooks deliciously and speaks honestly.”

Only then did Shang Jinghua let out a sigh of relief: “I really had some shadows now…”

Before he could finish speaking, there was a knock on the door. The driver, Old Zhang opened the door, and then he saw Shang Jingtian and Shang Jingzhong walking in with an old man with a beard. Lin Qingyin laughed when she saw this person. What a small world to meet an acquaintance!
