Chapter 82: Exorcising Evil Spirits (Part 2)

Yan Lang sighed and said: “Actually, that child is pitiful. He was born with a strong evil spirit that could not be resolved. He was judged as a ‘bad omen’ since he was a child, and he was almost killed on the spot. He managed to hold it down, so he is still alive. And because he is extremely intelligent, he has led their family’s business to what it is today. It is such a pity to have such a fate…”

From Yan Lang’s mouth, Gu Zhisang learned that this person’s name was ‘Yan Cheng’.

At this time, the evil spirit in his body had become alarmingly thick, and his condition was also very dangerous.

The Taoist masters from the three major forces of Taoist Sects were stationed at Yan’s house 24 hours a day, just waiting for him to get rid of him when he completely lost control.

Because of Yan Lang’s commission, and because Gu Zhisang was indeed a little curious about the legendary ‘ferocious evil’ that had been feared by the Taoist masters for more than twenty years, she thought for a while and agreed.

It was just, that she always felt that the name sounded familiar, but she couldn’t remember where she had heard it.

Gu Zhisang said: “Since Mr. Yan has spoken, I can only go and see the situation. If the situation is critical, I can lend you the jade finger bone.”

Yan Lang looked overjoyed: “That’s great. Let me thank Miss Gu first for Yan Cheng!”

He immediately asked Zheng Ruyu to prepare a car to take them to Yan’s house.

After arriving at the famous local mountain villa in Rongcheng where every inch of land was worth a lot of money, Gu Zhisang felt something and looked at an area not far away from the car window.

She already knew where Yan Cheng was.

She saw that the sky above that area was covered by a large curtain-like formation, which separated the area below from the surrounding environment. The people who set up the formation were quite good.

Even so, there was still a hint of light gray gas leaking from the formation, which was enough to see how strong the evil spirit was within the formation.

Seeing this scene, Gu Zhisang’s original curiosity turned from three points to seven points.

At this moment, the long-lost system suddenly jumped out and said excitedly in her mind:

“Sangsang!! You are going to the Yan family now. Do you know who Yan Cheng is?! Sure enough, the world plot will not give up easily. Even if you stay far away from the male and female protagonists, they still fall in love for various reasons. And you will still become the villain in their lives!”

Listening to the excited and unclear words in his mind, Gu Zhisang was confused: “What are you talking about? What does this have to do with the plot?”

The System: “Yan Cheng is the long-dead eldest brother of Yan Xugui, the hero of this book!!”

Gu Zhisang: “…?”

She finally remembered that this name sounded familiar to her. It turned out that she had heard it once when the system told the plot.

The system kept chattering: “I just took a look at the situation of the male and female protagonists, and sure enough, they still met and fell in love with each other! Although the relationship between the two of them is progressing much slower this time without a life-saving grace, they are still on the right track.”

“So what does this have to do with me?” Gu Zhisang.

The System: “Think about it, Sangsang. The plot of the book is that the hero’s genius brother dies early so that he becomes the sole heir of the Yan Family. Otherwise, based on the character set up at the beginning of his book, how can a racing car driver who doesn’t like doing business take over his eldest brother’s position?!”

“If Yan Cheng, the big boss who supported the Yan Family Group and made the Yan family’s business a hundred times bigger, had not died, the Yan Family’s stock would have stayed stable. Their business will not be in trouble. The protagonist will not be able to grow and mature without pressure, and the heroine will not be able to use her good luck to help him turn danger into good fortune again and again. The relationship between the two will heat up even more slowly…”

The system kept buzzing, and at the end of the count he said confidently: “Look at it this way, if you, Sangsang, change the fate of Yan Cheng’s early death, wouldn’t you be the villain who hinders the relationship and career of the male and female protagonist?”

Gu Zhisang couldn’t laugh or cry.

At this time, Yan Lang’s car had already entered the huge Yan Family.

As soon as she entered the formation, the evil energy leaking out from the surroundings became more obvious.

Feeling the power here, Gu Zhisang could understand why the people of the Taoist Sects paid so much attention to Yan Cheng in this mortal world.

He was now like a jar storing evil spirits.

The jar’s endurance was limited and was now on the verge of explosion.

As long as Yan Cheng, the container cannot hold it, so much evil energy will inevitably turn him into a dangerous being that was rare to see in thousands of years and cause harm to the world.

Gu Zhisang became even more curious.

Who was this Yan Cheng to have such a vicious fate?

How much perseverance does he have to endure for more than 20 years under the erosion of such a ‘ferocious evil’?

When following Yan Lang into the main hall of the Yan family, Gu Zhisang found that there were quite a few people there.

Several outsiders in different costumes either lowered their eyes and fell asleep, or sat cross-legged in meditation, but it could still be seen from the hands placed on the magic instruments, ready to be sacrificed at any time, as well as their tense bodies and locked brows. They were not as easy as they seem.

Everyone was nervously waiting for a result.

Master Xuan who was guarding the door saw Yan Lang and called out: “Mr. Yan.”

When he saw Gu Zhisang behind Yan Lang, his eyes couldn’t help but open wide.

Everyone in the room heard the sound and looked sideways with different expressions.

Gu Zhisang felt a look of deep resentment cast on her. She looked over and found that the man looked very familiar. He was one of the Taoist masters who had surrounded her to snatch the jade finger bone.

She ignored the man’s gaze and looked at the other people in the room.

Among them, the couple on the sofa with their hands tightly clasped and nervous expressions, and the young man beside them with furrowed brows, were the only three people in the room who didn’t have much energy.

This shows that they were not mystic masters, but ordinary people.

Gu Zhisang heard the young man whispering comfort: “Mom, don’t be nervous, brother, he will be fine…”

When her eyes glanced at the speaker’s profile, she paused and stopped at the young man’s profile in surprise.

Very similar.

The profile of this young man was very similar to that of her old friend – the sickly Young Prince Yan Huishan, who once lived on the top of the mountain and was her neighbor.

It was from this angle that she had some hallucinations when she first looked at it.

But after taking a closer look, she found out that the two were not the same person.

Yan Huishan’s nose was straight, but this young man’s nose was slightly curved downward, which does not mean he has a handsome and gentle temperament.

Thinking of the same surname between them, Gu Zhisang suddenly realized something.

Does this Yan Family have anything to do with Yan Huishan?

While she was in a trance, the Taoist Master whom she ignored felt angry, thinking that Gu Zhisang was just trying to humiliate him.

His face turned red, and he said in a sinister tone: “Isn’t this Miss Gu Zhisang who occupies the ‘Jade Finger Bone’ and is unwilling to take it out? Why are you here with Mister Yan from the Special Spiritual Department now? If I were you, I would be embarrassed to come here. If you hadn’t been selfish and refused to use it to resolve the evil spirit for Yan Cheng, how could things have ended up like this!”

After he said these words, everyone’s eyes fell on Gu Zhisang.

Including the couple and young people.

The moment she saw the young man’s face, Gu Zhisang felt an unexplainable disappointment in his heart.

The front face was different.

There were traces of Yan Huishan on his facial features, but this person felt her to be on par with Yan Huishan.

The excited voice of the system sounded in his mind: “It’s the male protagonist! This is Yan Xugui!!”

“Okay, now the male protagonist and the ‘Infatuated Female Supporting Role’ have officially met. Sure enough, Sangsang, you and he don’t have a matching aura.”

Gu Zhisang saw it.

This Yan Xugui was seeing him for the first time, but his eyes showed clear displeasure.

  1. I had completely forgotten about the system since it hardly makes an appearance, lol. Hopefully Gu Zhisang will be able see strong traces, if not an almost exact likeness, of Yan Huishan in Yan Cheng’s facial features.

    Thanks for the chapter! 😀
