Chapter 87: Buried Corpse (Part 3)

After hearing the whole process of Liu Mouxin’s murder case, Gu Zhisang sneered: “That mystic master did improve the case of the water of ‘Goddess Lake’, but he didn’t purify it. Instead, used another method to make the resentment in the water disappear, and scattered across the land, accelerating the spread of these grievances.”

“He can set up this formation. I don’t believe he doesn’t know the function of this formation. Now I have a suspicion…”

Gi Liaochan asked: “What suspicion?”

Gu Zhisang said: “I suspect that this mystic master did not bury the body of the deceased at all. The coffin in which the deceased was buried was probably empty!”

Hearing this, Gi Liaochan and other team members looked shocked and hesitated:

“That shouldn’t be the case, right? If that person just stole the body, it would be fine if he just took it away. Why go with great fanfare in the village for three days?”

Gu Zhisang shook her head slightly and said:

“Let’s go see the so-called murderer first.”

After hearing this, Gi Liaochan nodded and said: “Do you want to see that Gangster Zhao? Let me make arrangements.”

On the way to the detention center, Gu Zhisang and others happened to pass by Xinquan Village.

At the entrance of the village, they saw some old men and women sitting under the trees, fanning themselves and playing cards. Gi Liaochan stuck her head out of the car window and asked loudly:

“Uncle and aunt, do you know about the murder and corpse dumping case that happened in the Goddess Lake a few months ago?”

Several villagers who were playing cards chatted while playing mahjong: “We do. How can we not know about it? But that was news a long time ago. Why are you asking this?”

Gi Liaochan: “I just heard someone mention it, so I’m a little curious.”

The enthusiastic villagers told them the whole story again. This time, the stories told by the villagers brought many of their personal opinions.

“We didn’t expect that Xiao Liu was that kind of person before. Why get together with that Gangster Zhao of all the people in the village? It’s shameless. But what can we say about this kind of thing? Who should I blame? I can only blame her for being indiscreet!”

“I’ve told you before that she likes to run into the city late at night, talking and laughing with her male friends. There were signs of this at that time, but you still don’t believe me…”

In the mouths of these villagers, Liu Mouxin was a beautiful but restless woman.

Although she had such a result, it was pitiful, but she was not innocent.

Gu Zhisang listened indifferently and suddenly asked: “Where is her husband? Didn’t people say that her husband has a bad temper?”

The villager choked and said: “Her man has a bad temper. He gets angry easily after drinking some alcohol. It’s scary. We don’t have much communication with their family.”

“I saw wounds on Xiao Liu’s body before!”

“Oh, a man can’t control his strength when he beats people. Even if her man is wrong, she can’t have an affair! Her parents, brothers, and son have all been humiliated. How can a child behave after this? He is still so young. Speaking of which, everyone knows that he has a mother who was murdered… and now their family has moved away.”

“……”

Gu Zhisang squinted her eyes slightly and said nothing more.

After the car arrived at the detention center, the police officer responsible for receiving them led them inside and said as they walked:

“The court sentenced him to a suspended death sentence at the end of the first trial, but he was unconvinced and chose to continue his appeal, so there will be a second trial the day after tomorrow.”

“He said that he killed people and dumped their bodies because he drank too much. This was manslaughter, but the other party threatened to blackmail him. Logically speaking, both of them were guilty… Now he hired a lawyer. Anyway, there’s still a lot of issues in this case.”

“Zhao, come out. These two police officers have something to ask you.”

After that, the round-shaven Gangster Zhao walked into the interrogation room wearing a prison uniform and handcuffs, his eyes repeatedly glanced at Gu Zhisang and Gi Liaochan. He did not expect that the people who would interrogate him were two young and beautiful people. Not serious top policemen.

Suddenly the fluidity in his bones leaked out, and he was no longer so nervous. He tilted his head curled his lips, and said impatiently:

“What else do you want to ask? I’ve gone through the process eight hundred times and there’s nothing new. I said I plead guilty. I admitted that I accidentally killed her, but she extorted so much money from me before that incident. Threatening me of rape, if I don’t resist, I will become a victim!”

Gangster Zhao slobbered: “Two police officers, don’t you think she is like a pick-up artist mentioned on the Internet? I am not guilty enough to die!”

As he spoke excitedly, Gu Zhisang kept observing his face and body.

Perhaps because her five senses were particularly sensitive, she could smell a faint smell of river rancidity on this Gangster Zhao.

It was like the fishy smell of stale fish and shrimp.

Apart from this, he probably didn’t even realize that he was scratching all the time, sometimes scratching the back of his hands while talking, and sometimes raising his hands to scratch his neck.

The skin on his neck turned red from scratching, which was quite obvious.

Only then did Gu Zhisang speak in a very calm tone: “Legally, you are indeed not worthy of death because you didn’t kill anyone.”

Gangster Zhao’s careless smile froze, and after a long while he stammered and smiled again:

“This beautiful police officer, thank you for speaking for me, but I, Old Zhao, have the courage and sense of responsibility. Even if I did what I did, I will not run away from it!”

Gu Zhisang raised her hand, pointed at the center of his lower body with her fingertip, and smiled:

“There is no evil energy in your life, only yin energy. This shows that you did not kill anyone.”

“You just did some heinous and evil things, and you were haunted by ghosts and couldn’t sleep at night.”

Gangster Zhao couldn’t help but laugh. But seeing Gu Zhisang’s calm and dark eyes, he looked away in a panic: “I don’t know what you are talking about. You police officers are still acting like monsters?”

“Surnamed Zhao, you are 43 years old and have no children or wife. You are an old bachelor. Your only chance of marriage in the past 40 years failed due to your hidden illness.

That hidden disease has caused you to have extremely low self-esteem and misogyny, and you always want to insult women. You have a heavy tongue karma, which means that you always speak dirty words to others and are unrepentant.”

Gu Zhisang’s calm words made Gangster Zhao’s face change drastically. His face turned red, and he stared at her with wide eyes, full of disbelief.

His expression was distorted: “You fucking fart! You are the one with a hidden disease!”

Gu Zhisang ignored his rage and continued:

“You have been an incomparable failure in your life. You are lazy but conceited. You never have a few coins in your pocket. Your gambling luck is far from as good as you say. You often lose miserably and are chased by debt collectors.”

“How did such a loser who had been in poverty for most of his life, and was imprisoned for murder 3 months ago, manage to make a fortune and make you rich overnight in the same time?”

Gangster Zhao’s pupils squinted. He couldn’t help but think of the gold bricks buried underground somewhere in his mind.

The palms on his legs were clenched into fists, and he was sweating. He felt that the young woman in front of him was a monster!

Gu Zhisang pointed to Gangster Zhao’s nose: “Your ‘Shou Shang’ and ‘Zhun Tou’ bits have very obvious financial attributes, which means you are rich now. But bubbles are coming out of your nose and the corners of your mouth. It makes you feel stinging when eating or drinking, which means that this is a sudden windfall, and you cannot bear it and cannot enjoy it.”

“In addition, you are often thirsty these days, drink water constantly, sit, and do nothing, but sweat all over your body. In addition, the skin on your body is dry and peeling, and itches unbearably. These are all manifestations of the resentment of the water ghost.”

As he spoke, Gu Zhisangfeng squinted her eyes slightly and showed a sincere smile:

“No need to mention how long you can survive with this resentment. Even if there is no ghost claiming your life, you have no life to enjoy that windfall.”

“There is a very deep calamity in your life. In about 2 or 3 years, you will die in prison due to an ‘accident’. The things you don’t want to say now will be buried in your belly and buried in the earth forever.”

The more she spoke, the more Gangster Zhao’s fists trembled.

In the end, he could only put his hands under his legs to restrain himself and make himself look less scared.

He couldn’t help but think in his mind: What does this woman mean?!

Will he be killed and silenced?

He didn’t want to believe Gu Zhisang’s estrangement, but every situation the other party mentioned was completely consistent with his own!

These days, he wakes up wet every day. He drinks several glasses of water every day because of excessive sweating, but his skin is still unbearably dry and itchy.

Gangster Zhao felt like a stranded fish!

Gu Zhisang suppressed the expression in her eyes and said: “Zhao, you have one last chance to think about it.”

“Did you really kill that woman?”

  1. I wonder what would make Gangster Zhou falsely claim he killed Liu Mouxin because even if it was for those gold bars, being labeled a murderer and stuck in prison won’t allow him to get out so easily to use them. Since he’s also impotent, that means Liu Mouxin didn’t have an affair with him at all and those videos were falsified somehow, so it could be the gold and jewelry found on her body were planted by both him and the mystic master who were in cahoots with each other for different purposes. If she was falsely accused of cheating on her husband, then I hope at least her family will be told so that her reputation doesn’t continue tarnished even after death.

    Thanks for the chapter! 😀
